Cosmos
Living as terrestrial beings, humans often think of nature as linear scenes spanning horizon to horizon. A wider reality was revealed when mankind began to look upward, where civilizations contemplated a universe outside of our familiar reality but one still connected to nature. On a planet rich with life, humans now discover oceans of cosmic emptiness, stellar objects incomparable in size, yet barren, lifeless, and remote. Nature must be redefined in that context. These paintings depict a wide array of themes with this concept in mind and mankind's attempt to access them.
